Go to church.

“Blessed or happy are they that dwell in your house: they will be still praising you.” Psalm 84:4.

There’s no shortcut here, we need to go to Church. It is said rightly that the people are the church so going to church doesn’t mean going necessarily to a church building. It doesn’t mean to going to any place in particular other than where other Christians are. In becoming a Christian, you become part of the Church. Remember the church, the church is the people. The word translated church in the new testament is the same as the word translating congregation in the old testament. Congregation being the gathering together of the people. Here, the gathering together of God’s people and so we are to gather together and worship, and these verses in the old testament which talked about being in God’s house are referring to gathering together, gathering together in the temple to worship. The congregation of the children of Israel, the congregation of the people of God – the church meeting. If you do this, you will be happy: you will be blessed.

“Happy is the people whose God is the Lord.” Psalm 144:15

Go to church and worship God. Worship him as Lord, as the person who has the ultimate say in how you are to live but also, how happy you are. Worship God as the Lord, put him in his right place and the rest of the world will fall into place. Go to church. Don’t miss out. Be happy.
